Little River County RDA Water PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE December 22, 2015 A “PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR RESIDENTS OF Little River County on RDA Water and residents of the cities of Foreman, Winthrop, Jacks Isle, Arden, Alleene. Due to failure of equipment in our filter and emergency repairs made to keep us operational we are issuing this precautionary boil water notice. No known contamination is present but in an effort to keep water in the distribution Arkansas Department Health officials have recommended we issue the Precautionary Boil Order until Bacteriological Samples Analyses can be completed. THEREFORE, AS A PRECAUTION, ALL AFFECTED CUSTOMERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE WATER MAY BE UNSAFE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION, AND WATER USED FOR DRINKING, COOKING, MAKING ICE, BRUSHING TEETH, OR WASHING DISHES BE BOILED BRISKLY FOR ONE (1) MINUTE PRIOR TO USE. ALL ICE CUBES SHOULD BE DISCARDED AND ONLY BOILED WATER BE USED FOR MAKING ICE. AS AN ALTERNATIVE BOTTLED WATER MAY BE USED. THIS “PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE” WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED, AN ADEQUATE DISINFECTANT LEVEL IS ESTABLISHED THROUGHOUT THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND A BACTERIOLOGICAL SURVEY SHOWS THAT THE WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK.
